The Sail Light is an interactive lamp inspired by paper umbrellas and boat sails.
As the lid of the case is opened, the sail is raised.
Two layers of reinforced Japanese paper have been pleated and stitched by hand to create the sail, and LED strips are then embedded within the paper.
The sail is installed in a case crafted from walnut, which has flowing grain reminiscent of waves.
